Name Search dBASE IV Database Structures
For complete operation of the Name Search option in OziExplorer both files are required by OziExplorer and must be located in the same folder.
Database File
Filename extension identifier is (.names).

Types Code File
Types codings are stored in a types file (.types).
The format of the types file is the Datum line followed by the Feature Codes which are applicable for the associated database file. (Only the Feature Codes associated with records in the database are included in the list.)
The last Feature Code in the list is followed by a series of #### characters. This line is required by OziExplorer to determine the end of the list. The codes placed below this line are Major Codes which are not universally used by all available databases, although they are used by the World Databases (NIMA). They are included in this file for possible future developments within OziExplorer.
